How Holaura Works

Every claim has an evidence level.

Holaura doesn't present all information as equally certain. Where possible, we show what supports a claim, how strong that evidence is, and where uncertainty remains.

The methodology, in plain language

1. Holaura organizes health information

We gather the information you provide — labs, logs, medications, supplements, lifestyle — into one organized picture.

2. Holaura identifies individual claims

Instead of scoring a whole topic, we look at specific, individual statements one at a time.

3. Holaura examines the available evidence

For each claim, we look at what research and evidence actually exists to support it.

4. Holaura communicates an evidence level

Each claim receives an evidence level that reflects confidence in the evidence — not whether the claim is true or false.

5. Holaura shows sources when available

Where we have sources, you can see them and look further. Where we don't, we say so plainly.

6. Holaura communicates uncertainty

We show what is known, what is uncertain, and what is missing — instead of pretending certainty.

7. Holaura distinguishes evidence from interpretation

What the evidence says is separate from what it might mean for you personally.

8. Holaura does not replace a professional

Holaura is educational. It is not a substitute for a qualified healthcare professional.

The evidence framework

Five levels. The level reflects confidence in the available evidence for a specific claim and context — not absolute truth.

Level 1Strong EvidenceSupported by a substantial body of relevant, reasonably consistent evidence from high-quality research.

Level 2Moderate EvidenceSupported by meaningful research, but with limitations involving consistency, study quality, population, precision, or other factors.

Level 3Limited EvidenceSome evidence exists, but the evidence base is small, indirect, inconsistent, or has important limitations.

Level 4Insufficient EvidenceThere is not enough reliable evidence to make a confident conclusion.

Level 5Uncertain / ConflictingAvailable evidence is conflicting, highly uncertain, or does not allow a clear conclusion.

Available evidence is conflicting, highly uncertain, or does not allow a clear conclusion.

A Level 1 claim is not automatically "true," and a Level 4 or 5 claim is not automatically "false." The level describes the evidence, not a verdict.

See it on a real claim

Tap a claim to expand its evidence details — why the level was assigned, the limitations, and the real sources behind it.

Evidence can change. As new research becomes available, the evidence level for a claim may be revised. Holaura shows the date each claim was last reviewed so you know how current the assessment is.

Holaura is rolling this system out claim by claim. Not every piece of content in the platform carries an evidence level yet — and where evidence isn't available, we say so rather than invent it. This is an ongoing curation effort, not a finished dataset.
